Making I.T. Work was born in August 1999. Since then we have built up a substantial client base the majority of which return to us whenever they run into further problems. We are a computer services company operating from Ascot, Berkshire, UK. Although the majority of our customers are local to the Ascot area we also have customers as far apart as Battersea, London to Hindhead, Surrey, and from Aylesbury across to Aldershot in Hampshire. We like to keep our customers local as this helps to keep down incident response times, and to ensure our charging structure remains reasonable. As a basic guideline we would regard you as local if you are within half an hour's travel by car outside of rush hours. If you have any doubts about whether you fall within our catchment area please give us a call to find out We offer a service at a time and place convenient to you, be that at home or in the office either during normal business hours or during an evening or week-end (week-end appointments are by appointment only and are subject to our week-end tariff). Our typical client would be a small business or home user with anything from a single computer to a school or business with 50 or so computers and several servers. We are as comfortable working on a network as we are with a stand alone system. Working with such a cross section of clients has its advantages from our point of view as it gives us a wide and varied range of experiences. For example during the course of a day we could be hunting down and eliminating a virus to setting up a new server for a small business. We do not sell hardware directly to the public but we can offer hardware as part of our service. Quite often our hardware prices are very competitive in relation to the major discount sellers. To benefit from these prices you need to be a client. We look to carry out most jobs on site we do occasionally need to remove your equipment offsite to finish off any repairs requested. We always try to minimise any down time and often have your computer back in working order within the same day |
